District Immunization Officer, Dr. Murali Krishna stated that they are focusing specially on immunization programs. He participated in the review meeting with various PHC Supervisors at Dsitrict Health and Medical Office (DMHO) here on Friday. Speaking on this, Dr. Murali Krishna stated that the vaccine was given to more than one lakh children in the pulse polio program, which was conducted recently. Children below five years of age are total 5,79,079 in District and 101.83 % polio drops were given to children. The second phase of Pulse Polio program, which will be conducted on 27th of February, must be successful he added. He discussed on various schemes with the staff in this meeting.
