Special drive to increase SSC pass rate

Kakinada, Feb 12th: The educational authorities are taking up special measures to increase the SSC pass percent in the district. The target was fixed as 85% by the authorities. Observations say that the pass percent in languages especially in telugu was very low and the same was continuing from the past few years. Special attention is being laid on these areas so as to increase the total percentage. Sources reveal that the pass percentage will show effect on the transfers, promotions and increments of the concerned teachers.

 

Depending on the pass percentage grading will be given to the teachers. The increments and the promotions of the teachers will depend based on these grading. Depending upon the merit, the students will also be divided into A, B, C, D grades. Special classes will be taken to the students under grade C and grade D.

 

Speaking to the media persons, district educational officer, Mr. P.R Mallikarjuna Rao revealed that the SSC exams will be organized from March 25th to April 9th. He said that nearly 80, 301 students are appearing for the exams out of which 58, 023 are regular students, 25, 373 are appearing as private candidates and 6, 705 are through distance education. He also revealed that nearly 349 centers were arranged in the district for organizing the exams.
