Kakinada, Dec 26th: To improve performance of the students pursuing Class X and XII in their annual exams, the East Godavari administration conducted special counseling to the students with the psychologists especially during November and December. The authorities intend to conduct such programs every year. Collector, Mr. Gopala Krishna Dwevedi said that they organized such counseling to improve the performance of the students and received good feedback from the students.
Reviewing the implementation of “Prothsaham” scheme which is meant for providing financial assistance to help the meritorious students especially from backward communities, nearly 460 students in last year and 630 students in this year were enrolled in corporate colleges under the scheme and felt the need to conduct special classes in English to help the students to improve their language skills. He said that Reliance Industries was ready to provide financial assistance to sponsor five students to pursue engineering ans medical streams.
