Kakinada, Feb 12th: Police authorities are paying special attention on the safety measures to be taken for the forecoming elections. Authorities are making arrangements to avoid any disturbances during the time of elections. A meeting was organized for all the police officials at local district police office on Thursday. District SP Y. Nagireddy presided over the meeting. Speaking on the occasion he directed the police officers and other police forces to act more cautiously and arrange tight security during the polls.
Additional SP Janardhan, DSP’s and CI’s participate in the meeting. Speaking on the occasion Mr. Nagi Reddy asked the officers not to allow for any kind of dharnas and rasto roko’s with out the permission of the authorities. He also asked them to take rowdy sheeters into custody and keep a close watch on them. He ordered them to provide security to the VIP’s who visit the district during the time of elections and see to that no disturbance caused to the people due to road shows and other election campaigns.
