Kakinada, Feb 3rd: To meet the urgent needs of SPCA (Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals), East Godavari District Collector, Mr Gopala Krishna Dwivedi has sanctioned Rs 1 lakh to the society on Tuesday. Collector has revealed this at a review meeting organized with the newly appointed SPCA members on Tuesday. Presiding over the meeting collector asked the new members to take the responsibilities in mobilizing the funds for the welfare of the animals. He also asked the members to take care of the existing animals in the society.
Collector said that the money was sanctioned as maintainance grant to meet the urgent needs of the society and the reimbursement of the same will be done from the Animal Welfare Board. He asked the Kakinada revenue divisional officer and vice-chairman of the organization, Mr. Kishore Kumar to reimburse the amount as soon as possible. Members of the SPCA, B.K Jain, Dr. Behra, Society correspondent Dr. Nehru, P.S.R.K Thimmaji rao, Mr. T. Nandaiah and other attended the review meeting.
