The South Zone Inter University Basketball (Boys) Competitions Tournament has been concluded here on Friday, at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada (JNTU-K) Indoor stadium. A total 66 Basketball teams from Andhra Pradesh, Tamilnadu, Kerala, Karnataka & Pondicherry states were participated in this 5-days tournament. The team of Hindustan University from Chennai have won the tournament. Bangalore Jain University & University of Madras were got second & third positions in this tournament. The JNTU-K Rector Dr. Prabhakar Rao has stated that they were conducted this tournament successfully for the third year. He has appreciated the winning teams on this occasion. He said the winning team have got eligibility to participate in All India Inter University Basketball Competitions, which are to be conducted from 3rd of February at Banaras Hindu University in Uttar Pradesh. AP State Basketball Association General Secretary Mr. T.V.S.N.Prasad has felicitated the Team managers & coach's on this occasion. Registrar Dr. Prasad Raju, Principal Dr. Padma Raju, Directors Mr. Uday Bhaskar, Mr. Ramalinga Raju, Observer Mr. Rajkumar Sarma, Sports Council Secretary Mr. Syam Kumar, PD Mr. Venkateswara Rao and others attended the program.
