Total 40 sportsperson from District were selected to participate in the South Zone Taekwondo Competitions. These competitions will be conducted at Calicut, Kerala from 10th to 13th of this month. State Taekwondo Secretary Kaki Srinivas Rao said this to news line here on Sunday. Correspondent of Green Wood Public School, Mr. GV Rajeswarao participated in the gratitude meet. Speaking on this, he expressed happiness that these many sportspersons being selected in South Zone competitions and it is a matter of pride to the district. Coach Shankar stated that four sportsperson who were selected were given Rs.10,000/- each as financial support to participate in the competitions. Rajeswarao, Former Corporator Vijay Kumar appreciated the selected candidates. Coaches Badri, Venkanna, Sankar, Bhanu and others were present.
