South Zone Inter University Badminton Championship Competitions, which are conducting at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University in Kakinada from last four days, were concluded here on Saturday. According to the sources, around 108 teams were participated in these competitions from various universities in the country. In that, Mahatma Gandhi University (Kottayam) got first prize in the final competitions held with Jain University (Bangalore) in Women category. Cochin University of Science & Technology won the final competitions held with JNTU Hyderabad in Men category. Meanwhile, Osmania University & Kakatiya University were secured third and fourth positions on men category, and Osmania University & Anna University (Chennai) were secured same third & fourth positions on women category. All these teams were got selected for All Indian Badminton Championship Competitions, according to their performance in these competitions. JNTU-K Vice Chancellor Dr.V.Tulasi Ram Das has presented the awards for all the winning teams. Rector Dr. E.V.Prasad, Registrar Dr. G.V.R.Prasad Raju, Academic Planning Director Mr. Ch.Sai Babu, Principals Mr. K.Padma Raju, Mr. P.Udaya Bhaskar, Sports Secretary Mr. G.Syam Kumar, Physical Education Trainers Mr. B.P.Raju, Observer Mr. Raja Shekar, Mr. Phani Rao and others participated in the program.
