State Minister for Stamps & Registrations, Mr. Thota Narasimham has released the East Godavari District Song for the first time, here on Saturday as a part of Telugu Language celebrations held at Ambedhkar Bhavan in Kakinada. The song was written by Mr. Yenugula Ramamohana Rao, who belongs to Kakinada and it was sang by Singer Mr. Sishtu Ramachandra Rao. According to the sources, the district administration has invited entries for a song which reflects the district's culture and heritage one year ago. According to this, they have appointed a three member committee, which is headed by the district public relation officer to check the entries. Around fifty two entries are submitted by the writters in the form of CD's. Among all these entries, the committee selected top three songs. Of them, Mr. Yenugula Ramamohana Rao of Kakinada got first prize, Mr. Sirish secured second and Dr. Rentala Sri Venkateswara Rao secured third prizes for their songs. On the occassion of Telugu Literature & Culture celebrations, the minister has presented awards to all the three writters. Later, writter & winner Mr. Yenugula Ramamohana Rao received appreciations from the famous personalities for giving a wonderful song to the district, which refers the history & culture of the district.
