A Brothel gang was caught red-handedly here at Mahalakshmi Nagar, Kakinada Rural on Thursday. According to reliable information, CI Mr. Deva Kumar, I town and III town SI’s Mr. Lakshmana Reddy, Mr. Chaitanya Krishna, Staff made a raid and took six women under custody. According to the police, resident of Mahalakshmi Nagar Duvva Ratnam was maintaining a brothel gang from past few days. Duvva priyanka, Granddaughter of Ratnam engrossed women below 25 years. She used to supply them and paid Rs.1000/- each regularly. Police received information that Donga Durga, Patnala Durga, Parlapati Durga Bhavani, Ginjala Pramila belonged to this group. According to the orders received from DSP Mr. Lakshmi Narayana, raid was made on Ratnam’s house. According to the police, this gang was traced as follows. Yarlagada Chanti (26), Resident of Rayavaram used to work in an Automobile shop at Vishakapatnam. He cheated Gundala Padma(18) who was resident of Akkayapalem in the name of love. He brought her to Mahalaxmi Nagar and planned to sell her at Rs.7000 but he changed his opinion to sell her for some other company. Therefore, he brought her to lodge near Subbaya Hotel, Ramaropeta and locked her. However, she escaped from him, while he slept after drinking alcohol. She immediately went to police station and informed about this. At last, police made raid and took them into custody.
