Kakinada Dec 19th: Government has made greater arrangements to establish huge number of rice counters in the district. Nearly 42 special counters were arranged in the Rythu Bazar to sell super fine quality rice to the lower cost than the market price. Earlier, scarcity has occurred due to export of rice to other districts.
Government has taken measures to stop exports of the rice and due to this the scarcity has declined. The concerned officers has decided to sell the super fine quality rice in the special counters and made it available to the common man at lower cost. They said that the availability has increases to the ban of exports to the Hyderabad, Vizag and Rangareddy districts.
Lot of demand has raised to the super quality rice in the district. Every day huge load is required to be brought to the bazaar for sale. Officers have ordered the millers to supply the rice according to the demand without any fail in the areas like Rajahmundry and Konaseema where the demand is more. They were making arrangements to open more counters in these areas.
