District Sportsperson bagged several medals in the 3-day State Level Athletics Competitions conducted at GMC Balayogi Stadium at Gachibowli, Hyderabad. In these competitions, total 40 sportsperson from District participated in association with District Athletics Association. In the Under-18 Boys category, Sai Gowtam achieved gold medal in 100, 200m running competitions and D.Nagendra achieved silver medal in 100m running. G.Dhanaji achieved gold medal in 5,10Km Walking and R.Krishna achieved gold medal in Pole Vault competitions. K.Murali Kumar attained silver medal in Octathlon (8-sport competition). In the Under-20 boys category, Durga Prasad attained gold medal in 100m running competitions, G.Suresh Kumar achieved silver medal in Javelin throw. V.Ramesh achieved bronze medal. In the Under-16 girl’s category, K.Harika attained silver medal in Pentathlon (5-sport competition) and K.Satyavathi achieved gold medal in High jump. In the Under-18 girl’s category, K.Tejaswini attained silver medal in 100m Hurdles and 5Km Walking competitions. In these competitions, L.Chandrakanth and Sparjan Raju coordinated as Technical Official, Manager respectively. District Olympic Association President Mr. YD Ramarao, Athletic Association President and Olympic Association Secretary Mr. K.Padmanabham and others congratulated the winners.
