We can find very less people who safe guard their health even at their old age, Mr.Gopisetti Satyanarayana is one of them. 86 years old Mr.Gopisetti Satyanarayana had received 117 medals on whole in state, national and also internationally. Mr.Gopisetti who belongs to Eluru in west godavari district is now staying with his daughter in Kakinada. State government has choosen him for presenting senior citizen award to him on the occasion of World's Senior Citizen Day, which will be celebrated on 1st of October. On 2nd of October, he is going to receive this award in hyderabad from our State Governor Mr. Narasimhan. In a press meet that was held yesterday Mr.Satyanarayana said that, he worked as a Hawaldar in Army at the time of second world war during 1945-48 . He worked as a PET in Eluru from 1952-86. He also worked as Home guard and NCC Officer. Later in the year 1955 he received Rastrapathi Award. He received 6 Gold and 1 Bronze medals in different sports internationally. At national level he received 60 gold medals and at state level he received 50 gold medals. He says that even at this age he can easily complete 100mts to 1000 mts run and said that he does physical exercise regularly without fail. He says that his mental ability has increased after getting selected for senior citizen award.
