A two-day National Seminar on ‘Recent advances in Physics' was organized jointly by the department of physics and electronics of P.R. Government College and University Grants Commission here on Wednesday. Andhra University Registrar Mr. P.V.G.D. Prasada Reddy participated in the inaugural function. Calling upon the youngsters to focus on taking up research in fundamental sciences, he stressed the need for promoting research work, as the country need more and more talented scientists to eradicate poverty and to improve the living standards. In the field of science, research requires people who can think out of the box, he added.
