The Second Phase of Panchayat Elections Polling was concluded peacefully in the district, here on Saturday. A total 87.48% polling percentage was recorded in Kakinada rural division for 9 mandals, and 89.33% polling was recorded for Pedhapuram division for total 12 mandals under this second phase. A total 3,49,330 votes polled in Kakinada division and 4,32,696 polled in Pedhapuram division in this second phase polling. The polling was ended peacefully by 1.00PM in all the panchayats. The counting of votes of Ward Memberes started at 2.00PM and after completing it the voters for the posts of Sarpanch are counted. According to the second phase results, the Congress Party is in leading position leaving the Telugu Desam party in second position and YSRCP in third position in the district.
