Kakinada, May 19th: To beat the scorching heat and heavy rush due to summer, South Central Railway (SCR) is likely to run special AC train from Kakinada to Secunderabad every Tuesday. The train will be provided with 18 AC compartments to facilitate the passengers to have a cool journey in hot summer. To make affordable even to middle class people reasonable charges will be collected from passengers. A fair of Rs 739 will be collected towards ticket charges.
At present the only trains that were running between Kakinada and Hyderabad are Gowthami express from Kakinada and Godavari express from Samarlakot. To get reservation in these trains the passengers have to book for the same 15 days before the journey date. It should be a month before during summer.
This Kakinada-Secunderabad special train will start from Kakinada every Tuesday at 7.13 p.m. and will reach Secunderabad by 05.00 a.m. the next day, the SCR release said. The train can accommodate nearly 1000 passengers providing happy and cool journey and likely to provide its services till June 30.
