Hyderabad, Aug 19th: Though a GO on regulating fee structure in private schools was issued by the government fifteen days ago, none of the school managements have approached the government so far to seek approval for their revised fee, which was hiked in the range of 40 percent to 100 percent this year. The government was annoyed by the situation and it has asked parents to lodge complaints with the DEOs if any school management insists the payment of hiked fee.
The issued GO also stipulates that the schools must collect the fee amount which existed last year until the revised fee gets government approval. As per the provisions of the GO issued on August 6, private schools must submit their proposals on fee hike through governing councils to the district fee regulatory committees and seek approval. Mr. Suresh Chanda, secretary of secondary education, said that none of the schools have approached DFRCS seeking approval for their revised fee structure so far. Parents should not pay the fee that the schools insist on, he said.
