Schools are told to perform better

Rajahmundry, Nov 11th: The East Godavari District collector, Mr. Gopala Krishna Dwevedi called upon the heads of schools to improve the pass percentage of Class X students to 90 in the coming annual exams and asked them to come up with an action plan for 100 days to improve the academic performance of the students in East Godavari. Taking part in a meeting of the school headmasters and physical education trainers here on Wednesday, the collector said that in the last academic year, East Godavari stood in the 10th position in the state by securing 80 percent passes in Class X exam.

PF goes on line

The collector on Wednesday inaugurated the online facility for operation and maintenance of provident funds accounts of as many as 25,000 teachers in East Godavari. Speaking on the occasion here on Wednesday, the collector appreciated the Zilla Parishad Staff for facilitating the online system to help ensure transparency in maintenance of the PF accounts of the teachers. He said that teachers having their PF accounts could download their PF slips and in case of any lapses, they could register their complaints online.
