Kakinada, Mar 1st: Aiming to encourage the poor students towards education, Kanumuri charitable trust, Santhinagar has given scholarships to the students of engineering, medical, degree and intermediate. The trust has organized a program in the trust premises on Sunday. Badam Bala Krishna eye bank president, Mr Badam Bala Krishna attended as the chief guest for the program. He along with the Kanumuri trust secretary, K. Rajya Lakshmi has distributed scholarships to the merit students.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Bala Krishna blessed the students to excel in their studies and settle well with good careers. He asked the students to extend their helping hand to the poor students in their future. Trust secretary K. Rajya Lakshmi also spoke on the occasion. She revealed that the trust is offering their services to the poor students since 1993 and till now they have given scholarships worth Rs 10 lakh to the poor and merit students. This year the trust has given scholarships worth Rs 75,000 to 42 students. K. Krishna Murthy, B. Raja Babu, K.V Subba Rao, Kanumuri Sudhakar, Nageswara Rao, Krishna Murthy, Satyanarayana, Bharata Lakshmi , students and other participated.
