Scholarships for higher education

Hyderabad, Oct 30th: Government has decided to give scholarships to Backward and Schedule caste students for aiming to higher education. But this program is postponed to December 1st week and the students has to wait few more days for receiving their scholarships.

The Government has decided to give the scholarships through bank accounts. Delay has taken place as the accounts were yet to opened for more than 5 lakh students. The Government has made tie up with State Bank, Andhra Bank and Syndicate Bank for the issue of bank accounts.

This is the first time the government is issuing the bank accounts for distribution of scholarships and a system of online applications. The banks have already started  issuing the bank accounts which will to be completed by 1st week of December.

Finance minister said that the Government will not take any back step in providing funds for the scholarships. The Government has already provided 603 crores for social welfare, 90 crores for ST students and 502 crores for BC welfare department
