First Female Teacher, Mrs. Savitribai Phule's 180th birth anniversary was celebrated grandly here on Thursday at Santhi bhavan in Kakinada. BC Employees Welfare Association has organized this program here. According to this, Kakinada Municipal Commissioner Mr. V. Ravi Kumar, DWMA Program Director Mr. Madhusudhan and District BC Welfare Officer Mr. Dhanaraju have participated in the program as chief guests. They have offered garlands to Savitribai Phule's Photograph and paid rich tributes to her. Speaking on this, they said that as a wife of a great social leader, Savitribai rendered service to the women belonging to the deprived sections of the society through ‘Satyasodhak Samaj'. They stressed that the life of the great lady was an inspiration to the present generation. Panchayat Raj Ministerial Employees Association President Mr. M. Satyanarayana Murthy, Mr. Guthula Ramana, Mr. Dangeti Prasad, Mr. A. Nooka Raju, Mr. Ramakrishna & others participated in the program.
