Kakinada, Jan 8th: The agricultural and its allied departments of East Godavari district are making arrangements to celebrate Sankranti Pratibha Puraskars-2010 in the third week of January. The departments principal secretary, Ms. Rachel Chatterjee, through a video conference on Friday directed the concerned officials here to celebrate the Puraskars on either January 16 or 17, as its state-level program was fixed on January 15 at Ravindra Bharati in Hyderabad.
However as per her instructions, the officials under the aegis of the joint director of the agriculture department, Mr. T. Nandaiah are making arrangements to award the puraskars to the best farmer and officials whose efforts were laudable and who used advanced scientific methodologies in farming, poultry etc. An exhibition on the best products and the achievements of the farmers and the departments concerned will also be held.
