District Collector and Elections Officer Mrs. Neetu Kumari Prasad has conducted a review meet with all the political parties representatives from the district, here on Monday at the Collectorate in Kakinada. She had discussed about the Voters list modification and Booth level agents appointment for the coming 2014 elections with them. Speaking on this, she said all the political parties should co-operate well with the district administration to turn all the youth, who completed 18yrs of their age to voters in the district. She said that the final list of district voters will be published on 6th of January 2014, so that the sample voters list will be published on 4th of November. Objections on this sample list will be allowed between 4th to 30th of November, she added. She stated that the special camps will be arranged to receive the objections on 10th, 17th & 24th of November in the district. Updating the new voters & modifying the existing voters are to be allowed upto 1st of January, 2014. There are 3,907 polling stations in the district. However, we will arrange 75 new stations in the district, she announced. She noticed them to appoint polling booth agents and to report the respective Tahsildars. Special camps will be arranged at colleges in the district, she added. DRO Mr. B.Yadagiri and all political party representatives were attended the meet.
