In support to the ongoing Samaikyandhra movement, some of the agitations from the city performing special poojas to Lord Vinayaka as a part of the Navarathri celebrations. They are requesting the lord to keep the state united and also to provide good thinking power to all the politicians. The JAC conducted a big rally in the city, against to the state bifurcation decision. Municipal Corporation, Port, Endowments and other department employees staged protests and conducted rallies in the city, in their own ways demanding the united state.
