The 2-day Samaikyandhra Bandh, which was called by the District JAC against to the decision of state bifurcation and also to the attack on Seemandhra Advocates at Hyderabad, was completed successfully in the city. The trade bandh was observed even on the second day on Friday. All the shopping malls, educational institutes, government & private offices, companies, organisations, etc., were closed in the city in support of the Samaikyandhra bandh. All the shops and commercial establishments closed their shutters. The work at deep water port and Kakinada Sea Ports Limited (KSPL) has been stopped for few hours due to this bandh. The employees of Port department observed relay hunger strike infront of the Collectorate. Government General Hospital Doctors staged a dharna infront of the hospital. Government vehicles drivers restarted their relay fasts. Kakinada Revenue employees & Collectorate employees showed their support to the agitation in their own different ways. DEO staff also conducted the prottest. NGOs continuing their protests. Many other sections participated in the agitation.
