A five-day SAM workshop (Sensitivity/Awareness/Motivation) has commenced here at Ideal College on Wednesday. University Grants Commission (UGC) sponsored this workshop. Prof. Sushila Kaushik (New Delhi) participated as the chief guest in this workshop. Participating in the workshop, Prof. Sushila stated that women must shine in various fields including education. She said that this workshop focus on capacity building on women managers in higher education. She called upon to utilize such workshops conducted by UGC. In this workshop, Training of Trainers (TOT) will be selected and training will be given as Resource Persons. Later, they will be sent as representatives for SAM workshops, which will be conducted in various colleges. UGC Sub Regional Coordinator Usha Rani will train on leadership abilities, women research and professional responsibilities in this five-day workshop. Correspondent of Ideal College Dr.Chiranjeevini Kumari, President Dr.NSR Sastry, Principal Dr.A.Prabhakarao, PRO K.Satyanarayana, Lecturers P.Pedasathyam, Satya Swaroop, S.Padmavathi and Nirmala Rani participated in this workshop.
