Amalapuram, Newsline, Oct 12th: Sakshi Journalist Rudra Srinivas of Amalapuram rural mandal who was on his duty was attacked by PRP leaders on Saturday. They attacked him with weapons and injured him badly.
According to the sources it is known that some people attacked houses in Ganduveedi and regarding this the villagers complained to the near by police station and the case was settled by CI. While returning from the station Srinivas noticed that some people setting fire to the Flex Board of former minister Satyanarayana Rao. PRP leaders noticed Srinivas shooting the incident with his camera.
PRP leaders forcibly took the camera from the journalist, seriously injured by stepping on him and warned of killing him. With the help of the other journalists he went to the police station and complained and from there he was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Amalapuram C.I Babji, S.I.Srinivas visited the area hospital and took statement from srinivas regarding the incident and said that they will not leave the culprits under any situation and they will see that the incidents will not repeat in future again.. PRP leader Bonam Kanakayya, Devasthanam chairman Haribabu and many more visited the area hospital and consulated Srinivas.
