Vijayawada, Nov 23rd: District collector Mr.Sridhar inspected the Gannavaram airport on Sunday and directed the officials to complete the expansion of runway in the airport. “The hindrance in allocating the land for the purpose is also removed by the district administration”, he added.
He also inspected the southern part of railway and noticed the water logging, which will become problem in the rainy season, and ordered the officials to clear off the problem as soon as possible. He also gave suggestions for the speedy completion of work.
The airport counselor and officials asked the collector, funds and lands for the expansion and modernization of the airport, for which the collector enquired the revenue officials for the land near Netturi Technical Institute and assured to do the same with in no time.
