RTI in Action by Chief Secretary

Govt. of A.P Special Chief Secretary, Minnie Mathew, I.A.S conducted a meeting on ‘Right to Information act’ with all the respective officials from District at Vidhan Gowthami meeting hall in Collectorate, Kakinada here on Tuesday. She ordered all the officials to take serious action on proper implementation of “Right to Information act’ in every Government office. She stated that according to section 4(1)(b), 5(1)(b) information should be published which is to be easily accessible by the public and the information asked by public should be provided within 30days. She said that every month all the officials should conduct a review meeting on the implementation of the act. Minnie Mathew stated that the officials should take actions to get good publicity for this act to create public awareness. She answered all the doubts raised by the officials. Later, speaking on this, District Collector, Mr. M.Ravi Chandra stated that Mandal & District level Appellate Authority will be established for all the departments and the District RTI website would be updated in every Government office. SP Mr. Trivikram Varma, Rajahmundry Urban SP Mr. Umapathi, Commercial Tax Department DC Pousamibasu, AJC Mr. B.Ramarao, DRO Mr. Yadagiri and others participated in the meeting.
