Vadrevu Raju (Pittala Raju) of Jagannaickpur, Kakinada studied till 7th class. After his father Balaji's death, he became a loafer with his friends and robbery became his profession. His theft started with stealing a cycle and last month 18th, he abducted 480 grams of gold near Chinna Market, Jagannaickpur. At last, Police Personnel caught him near Gold Market Center this Friday under direction of Crime C.I. N.Babji. Later, he was moved to III-Town CCS station and addressing media persons DSP Achyutha Rao said Pittala Raju is arrested under 9 cases. The long list of his theft cases goes like this. He abducted 41.5 grams of gold near Jagannaickpur, 195 grams of gold near Dairy Farm Center, theft of 2 motor cycles near Sambamurthy Nagar, Talrevu. 21 grams of gold in Draksharama, 10 grams of jewelery in Yanam, 216 grams and 3.5 grams of gold jewelery in Talrevu. Gold was sold with the help of his friends and money was transferred to him. After the robbery at Jagannaickpur, Police men payed attention to catch him. One of his friend while carrying large amount of gold was took under custody and asked him to call Pittala Raju, hence he was trapped cleverly. During investigation all his previous crimes came into notice. Police personnel worked in this case, I-Town and III-Town S.I G.Venu Prabhakar, Ch.Bucchi Raju, Korangi SI K.Varaprasad, other personnel Srinu,Hussain, Govindu, Sriram, Satyamoorthy were congratulated by DSP.
