District Collector Mrs. Neetu Kumari Prasad has ordered the officials to provide agriculture loans worth of Rs.100 Crores to the Tenant Farmers, Rythu Mitra groups and Joint Liability groups of Farmers in the district, by the end of the September. Yesterday, she has conducted a review meet with Agriculture, Civil Supplies department along with Bankers at her camp office in Kakinada. Speaking on this, she said that as part of this Rs.66 crores was distributed by July month end. The Collector said that one lakh Tenant farmers will be covered under the program in the district. Of this, eighty thousand were issues loan eligibility certificates and the remaining twenty thousand will be covered soon, so that they avail the loan, she stated. Lead bank District Manager Mr. S.Jagannadha Swamy, Joint Director of Agriculture D.Pramila and other respective officials attend the meeting.
