District Collector Mrs. Neethu Kumari Prasad, has submitted the final report on the loss affected by Neelam Cyclone in the district. Around Rs. 1,295 crores of loss was affected on crops & property by the Neelam Cyclone in the district. According to the sources, all departments from the district submitted their reports on 30th of last month, and after verifying those reports, Collector prepared a final report & submitted to the Government about the loss. As per the report, the cyclone damaged paddy and horticulture crops over 176,381 hectares, and also damaged 9,099 houses in the district. 14 members were died, while 252 big animals, 823 small animals, 5,586 cocks and hens perished in the wake of Neelam. Public properties worth Rs.573 crores also damaged by the cyclone.
