University Grants Commission (UGC) sanctioned Rs. 1.25 Crores of funds to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada (JNTU-K) under 12th Five-year plan (2012-17). According to this, the University Registrar Dr. Prasad Raju had released a press note here on Wednesday. He said that, under 11th five year plan, Rs.5 crores were granted to the university, of them Rs.2.5 crores were released till now. These funds were being used for the pending projects and development works in university, he added. He said that he met UGC officials along with JNTU-K Vice Chancellor Dr. Tulasi Ram Das in recent times at New Delhi and discussed about these funds. He has thanked the Central Minister of Human Resources Mr. M. M. Pallam Raju, who worked to get these funds to the university.
