Kakinada, May 7th: Nearly 30 members of a marriage party sustained injuries in a road accident that took place on Thursday. The accident took place at Doddampeta village near K. Gangavaram mandal on Thursday morning. The injured were shifted to Ramachandrapuram area hospital. Later from there 15 of them were shifted to Kakinada General Hospital for better medical aid.
According to the sources, a 40 member marriage party was returning to Kajuluru after attending the marriage at Bhimeswara temple on Wednesday night. The tractor in which they were traveling collided with another tractor coming in opposite direction that was carrying paddy. The accident resulted in injuries to 30 persons. The injured were rescued by another marriage party who were traveling on the way.
They shifted the injured to Ramachandrapuram hospital in 108. According to the doctors, the condition of 4 of the injured was found to be critical and they were identified as A.Satya Gowri, V. Satya, A. Subbulu, and P. Vara Prasad. Police filed the case and investigating on the same.
