Kakinada, Mar 12th: Three persons died and four sustained severe injuries in a road accident that took place at Chendurti village in Gollaprolu mandal of East Godavari district. One of the three deceased died in the spot and the other two died while undergoing treatment. The remaining four including the driver Ramana were undergoing treatment in the Kakinada General Hospital. Accident took place due to the negligence of the driver. Doctors declare the condition of the injured was serious as all of them sustained severe injuries.
According to the sources provided by the police, the mishap occurred when the auto driver was trying to overtake the two lorries, but hit the bus that was approaching in the opposite direction. Two of the deceased were identified as Bandaru Venkata Lakshmi (50) belonging to A.V Nagaram village of Tondangi mandal and V.Swarupa Rani (55), a resident of Visakhapatnam. The details of the other deceased were not known. Mr. D. Sadananda Raju, sub inspector of Gollaprolu filed the case and doing further investigation.
