Kakinada, Feb 13^th: For the rising prices of daily essentials, Praja Rajyam Party women wing activists staged dharna at district collectorate on Friday. The activists demanded the congress government for the regulation of the prices of the essential commodities. They wore the garlands of vegetables and daily essentials and took up dharna in a different way. Activists raised slogans against the government for its irresponsible and irregular rule. They also demanded the government to impose check on the prices of essentials to provide relief to the common man.

Praja Rajyam Party district convener Mrs. Adduri Lakshmi Srinivas spoke on the occasion. She criticized the congress government that it is wontedly creating artificial scarcity of the essential which is leading to rise of prices. She alleged that the prices of all the essentials including the prices of vegetables, pulses, oils and kerosene have gone up affecting the consumers. “Though the prices of petrol and diesel has reduced the prices of bus fares has increased a lot. The prices of good quality rice have also gone up causing trouble to the ordinary man”, she said. Later the activists submitted petition to the RDO Mr. M Mohanraju.
