Hyderabad, May 23rd: The number of seats in MBA (Master of Business Administration) and MCA (Master of Computer Application) courses are likely to increase this year. This rise is due to the increase of number of applicants this year. For the academic year 2009-10 as many as 2, 11,900 candidates appeared for the exam that was conducted on May 10. Last year, 2, 00,836 candidates appeared for the test making a difference of nearly 11,000.
At present, the state has 498 MBA colleges with 34, 701 seats. There are 698 MCA colleges that offer 46, 618 seats. The results of the Integrated Common Entrance Test (ICETt-2009) will be released today. The test was conducted by Andhra University for admissions into MBA and MCA courses in all government and private unaided colleges in the state. According to the ICET convener, P.S.N Raju no grace marks will be added as there were no errors in the question paper.
