Kakinada, April 5th: On the occasion of 102th; birth anniversary of Babu Jagajeevanram, rich tributes were paid to him on Sunday. District social welfare authorities have grandly organized the celebration in the town. East Godavari district collector Mr. Gopal Krishna Dwevedi paid rich tributes to Jagajeevanram by garlanding his statue located near Ladies Recreation Club. Officers of various departments also paid their tributes.
Mr. Dwevedi did Jyothiprajwalana and initiated the program by cutting the cake. Speaking on the occasion, collector recollected the services done by Jagajeevanram for the welfare of the weaker sections. He called upon the masses to take his life as an inspiration. Social welfare JD, Mr Prasad, DRO M. Mohan Raju, municipal commissioner G.S.N Murthy, and many more took part.

The birth anniversary celebration of Babu Jagajeevanram was also celebrated at local Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University on Sunday. University vice chancellor, Mr. Allam Apparao did Jyothiprajwalana and initiated the program. Later he garlanded the portrait of Jagajeevanram and paid his tributes.
