Kakinada, Jan 30^th: Rich tributes were paid to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi on the occasion of his death anniversary. The death anniversary celebrations were organized grandly in the city on Friday. Many of the senior leaders and politicians have garlanded the gandiji’s statutes located at various places and paid their tributes. Gandhiji was praised for his principles of truth and non-violence on this occasion.

DCC president Ch. Venu Gopala Krisha, PCC correspondent Pantam Nanaji, Bonam Bhaskar and others has garlanded the statute of Gandhiji located at Kala Venkata Rao congress party office and paid their tributes. Sita Ramayya hospital president Dr. K.S.R Krishnasai has distributed clothes to the blind students of Green Field School, Atchampeta. Speaking on the occasion he promised to extend his services further to the blind children

Praja Rajyam Party leaders also organized the death anniversary at PRP party office. Many PRP leaders and followers have taken part in the celebrations. TDP leaders has organized the program at Gaigolupadu community hall and paid their tributes to Gandhiji. Later they distributed clothes to the old people. East Godavari District collector, Mr. Gopala Krishna Dwivedi, ZP chairman Venu, MLA Mutta Gopala Krishna has garlanded the statute of gandiji located at Gandhinagar Municipal Park. District health officer Dr. D. Vijaya Kumar, additional D.M and H.O Dr. M. Pavan Kumar and other participated.
