Rich tributes paid to Alluri

Kakinada, May 7th: Rich tributes were paid to Alluri Seetarama Raju to mark his death anniversary here on Thursday. Alluri Seetarama Raju Smaraka Kala Vedika has grandly organized the program in the town. The member of Kala Vedika paid rich tributes to Alluri by garlanding his statue located at Nagamalli Thota Junction. They did Jyothiprajwalana and raised slogans saying Alluri Amar Rahe. Speaking on the occasion, General Secretary of the society, Mr. P. Dayananda Babu called upon the masses to take Alluri as inspiration. He recollected the sacrifices made by him in fighting against the British rule.

The 84th death anniversary of Alluri Seetarama Raju was also grandly organized at civil engineering department of local Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University on Thursday. University vice chancellor Mr. Allam Appparao did Jyothiprajwalana and paid rich tributes by garlanding the portrait of Alluri. Speaking on the occasion he expressed anguish over the problems faced by the present society even after the great sacrifices made by him for the country. College principal, E.V Prasad, vice principal, Dr. G.V.R Prasad Raju and many more took part.
