Kakinada, Feb 13^th: With the scarcity and demand created for the super fine rice, there was a huge rise in the prices of the rice. In the past couple of months drastic rise of 14 Rs per kg was noticed. Keeping this in mind, the government is making arrangements to supply the super fine rice for Rs 20 a Kg to the people all over the district. It is making all the arrangement to start the supply from 16^th of February in all district municipalities and corporations. A review meeting was organized by joint collector Kona Sasidhar on Friday at his chamber.

Speaking on the occasion Mr. Sasidhar has ordered the retail dealers to prepare a complete schedule for the supply process. He also asked them to open good number of outlets at all district municipalities and corporate offices. He revealed that the banners stating the price of the rice will also be displayed at the outlets. He warned to take severe action on the concerned officers if any irregularities were found in the supply. East Godavari district supply officer, B. Yesuratnam, civil supplies corporation DM Narsingarao, miller’s representative D. Bhaskara Reddy, retail dealers and many more participated in the meeting.
