Kakinada, Feb 21st: In wake of the approaching summer, the district administration is making all possible efforts to overcome the scarcity of water in the district. In this concern a review meeting with RWS (Rural Water Supply), irrigation, Panchayathi Raj and other department officials was organized by the district collector, Mr. Gopala Krishna Dwevedi here at Collectorate court hall on Sunday. Speaking on the occasion he ordered the officials to submit the report on the availability water resources in the district with in three days of time to act accordingly.
He lamented that the rainfall in this year was recorded low due to which there was huge scarcity of water and even the animals were also facing the water shortage problems. He ordered to conduct survey in the villages and take suggestions from the people representatives to overcome the shortage. He revealed that cet conference will be organized every Tuesday over the progress attained in conducting surveys in the villages. He ordered to chlorinate the water tanks in the villages. RWS SE Dayal, irrigation SE Pratap Babu, DPO K. Sudhakar and other took part in the conference.
