Kakinada, July 8th: A review meeting was organized to plan for the effective implementation of the traffic rules and control of accidents along the stretch in district in NH 214 and NH 5. The meeting was organized at the district police office on Wednesday with the superintendent of police, Mr. Y. Nagireddy in chair. The regional transport officer (RTO), Mr. M.V Naidu attended the meeting as a special invitee.
The meeting decided to control the overloading in autos, check school buses and van to prevent over loading. In addition to this the meeting also decided to identity the accident prone places and take measures to prevent accidents. SP expressed concern over the number of unidentified vehicles involved in accidents and directed his subordinate officers to be more vigilant in tracing the identity of such vehicles. They also decide to stop the sale of liquor at the highway dhabas and hotels. The SP administration, Mr. S.J Janardhan also attended.
