Kakinada, Mar 10th: A review meeting was organized by East Godavari district collector on the arrangements of the fore coming elections. The meeting was organized at collectorate court hall on Tuesday. Officers belonging to revenue and police department attended. Various issues relating to preparation of final voter list, identification of sensitive polling areas, shifting of poling stations, availability of Electronic Voting Machines (EVM) and many more were discussed.
Speaking on the occasion, collector revealed that sector officers were appointed in all the constituencies and all the issues relating to identification of sensitive polling areas will be taken care by them. He ordered the officers to arrange strong rooms for shifting EVM’S. He made it clear that police cases will be booked by the authorities if any disturbances in money, liquor and other articles are noticed. He asked the officers to submit the complete report on the identification of sensitive polling areas before Wednesday noon. Joint collector Kona Sasidhar, DRO M. Mohan Raju, sub collector Manikraj, returning officers and others participated.
