Kakinada, April 19th: For the second phase election that were scheduled to be organized in the district on April 23rd, the election authorities have made arrangements to run special buses for carrying polling staff and other polling material to various destinations in the district. To review over the arrangements a meeting was organized by the collector at district collectorate on Sunday. Various returning officers attended the meeting. Transfer of polling material, polling staff, establishment of distribution research centers, training to micro observers and others poll related issues were discussed.
Speaking on the occasion collector revealed that nearly 479 RTC buses and 57 mini buses were arranged to carry polling material from distribution centers to concerned destinations. In addition to this, 225 buses were deployed to carry polling staff to their respective polling stations on that day. He ordered the returning offices to arrange tight security at strong rooms for the safety of the EVMs. He inspected the counting center which was arranged for the same at V.L Lakshmi College on Sunday. Joint collector Kona Sasidhar, ITDA PO Yogitha Rani, DRO Mohan Raju and others participated.
