Kakinada, Feb 19^th: East Godavari district collector Mr. Gopala Krishna Dwivedi has organized a review meeting on the collection of milk under Kshira Kranthi Padakam. The meeting was organized on Thursday at district collectorate. Officials of Godavari Dairy, BMC’s, Procurement managers and revenue divisional officers attended the meeting. Speaking on the occasion collector asked the officers to ensure that every unit collects 5,000 liters of milk every day. He also reviewed the progress of existing 10 BMC’s (Bulk Milk Cooling Units) in the district.

Collector revealed that in addition to the existing 10 BMC’s in the district, authorities are planning to open 2 more units in Sitanagaram and Pedapudi. He ordered the officers to speed up the process of land acquisition to start 6 more units in the district that were proposed by the authorities. He directed the officers to make sure that the new units to be opened in the vicinity of market yards with continuous power supply. He also directed to conduct repair works to the existing BMC’s if necessary. Joint collector, Mr. K. Sasidhar, sub collector Mr. Manik Raj, dairy GM S. Venkata Rao and others participated.
