District Collector Mrs. Neethu Kumari Prasad along with Joint Collector Mr. A. Babu, conducted a meet with Bankers on the review of Cash Transfer Scheme in the district here on Monday at her office in Kakinada. Speaking on this, she stated that the scheme will be implemented for all civil supplies, firstly in Kerosene distribution, Social Pensions, Farmer Input subsidy & other scholarships. Bank accounts are compulsory for each and every family to implement this scheme, she noticed. Bank of India, Axis Bank, ICICI & Union Banks are the banks, which are selected to provide bank accounts to the public. She asked the respective banks representatives to provide remaining 2 Lakh bank accounts in the district by this month ending to complete the process. Later, she stated that the Gollaprolu Mandal has selected as a Pilot mandal. As there is 69 thousand population in Gollaprolu, out of that 98% Aadhaar enrollment has completed, so that it is called as Aadhaar mandal, she explained.
