The District Revenue Authorities meeting was held here on Tuesday, at Collectorate in Kakinada. According to this, the District Collector and Joint Collector were presided over the meeting along with the officials. Reviewing the Revenue issues in the district, Collector instructed the Revenue officials to file counters for the cases pending with various judicial institutions like High Court, Supreme Court, Lokayukta, Human Rights Commission and others. She said that 19 cases were pending with Lokayukta, 162 cases with High Court and 84 cases with Supreme Court. She directed the officials to take speedy disposal of cases. She instructed RDO's to discuss revenue matters including pending cases with Tahsildars once in a week. Tahsildars should maintain registers relating to land ceiling, Bhudan lands, Enam and other government lands, she said. She directed AP Industrial Infrastructure Corporation officials to take back the lands from the Industries which have not yet started their business and allot them to new ones. DRO Mr. B.Yadagiri, RDO's Mr. Jawaharlal Nehru, Mr. Sampath Kumar, Mr. Venugopal Reddy, Mr. Vara Prasad, Special Deputy Collectors, Deputy Collectors, Tahsildars and other Revenue officials attended the meeting.
