“Time flies but memories remain” A perfect example of a reunion organized after 30 long years. 1977-1984 Batch mates of St. Joseph's Convent School famously known as Blue Convent, arranged a reunion program after 30 years. Royal Park Hotel in Kakinada was the platform to meet. The students of St. Joseph's Convent School came from various places like America, Vijayawada, Eluru, Chennai. Some of them have settled as Doctors, Professors and Home makers. Students were not from the same class but all seniors and juniors who resided as boarders. They found it hard to gather all phone numbers and addresses, but thanks to Facebook. Dr. Uma who is now living in Texas said that “I cannot not express my feelings in words as I met my friends after 30 years, I have completed my schooling here and also MBBS in Kakinada, presently I am working in America but came here just to meet my friends again”. Mrs. Padmalata, the Vice Principal of Sri Subha Niketan School, Kakinada said “I am very happy to meet all old students and friends from my school. Never thought we will meet like this after several years. This moment is really cherishing for us, we shared all our memories”. This Monday they all met at Royal Park and recollected their old and precious memories and moments. Later all of them visited their school together, took some photographs and were excited looking at the changes in the school. Some of them shared their views that previously they were studying at boarding and now there is no boarding in school. They said that only a few could gather now but in 2012 they will meet again, this time with family perhaps!! This event was planned and organized by Mrs. Syamala and Mrs. Padmalata and was made a success by all.
