Kakinada, Dec 26th: The police department extended onlune facilities for the registration of foreign nationals. Under the facility extended by police computer services, Hyderabad, foreigners can check into the website http://appolice.gov.in and after going through the instructions under foreigners registration can enter the details of passport, visa, date of arrival, purpose of visit and other details in the relevant columns and the computer will generate a registration number for the applicant.
According to Mr. M. Veera Reddy, inspector of police attached to East Godavari district special branch, the applicant should visit the Foreigners Registration Office (FRO) located in the police office within the stipulated time to obtain residential permit by producing valid documents.
